Her research was recently published in the Treballs de la Societat Catalana de Geografia.

Anna’s passion in the sustainable development and climate emergency areas have resulted in her active involvement in initiatives geared towards climate change, both internationally as well as on the national level. For the past year, she has been engaged with various initiatives regarding sustainable development and climate change mitigation, put forward by different Spanish Universities and ONGAWA, an NGO aimed at implicating the private sector in international cooperation and making technology available for human development and social change.

Furthermore, Anna’s interest in the Middle East instigated her research on the issues surrounding refugees in the MENA region. As a result, she wrote her Master’s Dissertation on the local responses to the influx of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan, which not only allowed her to develop crucial skills in inter-personal communication, data collection and analysis and report writing, but also gave her an extensive understanding of the underlying issues in the region.
Anna is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
